to make living with children more functional – creating an environment for physical activity and development that is also aesthetically valued.
What began within our own family has grown into a committed team of designers, educators, and craftspeople. Together, we create furniture that gives children space to grow, explore, and engage – while supporting families in their everyday lives.
Our work is rooted in real family experience and the fact that children today often lack opportunities for natural activity, especially in urban homes.

CLIFF is an Austrian family business, created from the desire to make life with children more functional, active and aesthetically appealing. What began as a family idea has grown into a developing company with a dedicated team of designers, educators and experienced craftspeople. Together, we develop furniture that gives children space to grow and supports families in everyday life. Our work is inspired by the thoughtful principles also found in Montessori toys and active play environments.
Our roots lie in real family life with children – and in the observation that physical activity is often neglected today, particularly in cities. This led not simply to another toy, but to a furniture concept: timeless, durable products that encourage active play and blend seamlessly into modern living spaces. Many of our designs naturally complement Montessori wooden toys and support healthy motor development.
